February is here, and you know what that means – it’s time to talk about love. I am such a lover girl, I love love and the art and science of it all. My greatest lesson in love is to direct it inwards, so it flows out to people and everything you do get a sprinkle.

Well, this month, we will be talking about creating a loving state of being in yourself.  We will walk hand in hand through the beautiful blooms of mood enhancers, explore positivity’s magic, and how it can be a game-changer for our emotional well-being.

Picture this: you wake up in the morning, the sun gently peeking through your curtains, you alarm goes off with your favourite song ever and you feel a wave of optimism wash over you.

Sounds dreamy, right? Well, believe it or not, cultivating a positive mindset can make this scenario a reality more often than not. It’s in the way we set ourselves up for life.

So, grab your favourite cup of tea or coffee, cosy up, and let’s explore the incredible power of positivity together.

That’s not very helpful, infact it’s now known as toxic positivity, avoid that.

Positivity is about training our minds to focus on the good stuff, even when life throws curveballs our way. Very much like brushing your teeth daily leads to you not losing all your teeth in the long run.

Building daily habits that inject your life with positivity, ensures you are well built up for the challenges that inevitably come in life.

But here’s the truth – positive thinking isn’t just about wishful thinking or blind optimism. It’s about cultivating a realistic yet hopeful outlook on life. It’s acknowledging the presence of difficulties while maintaining unwavering faith in our ability to overcome them.

Check around you, when you spend time with people, how do you leave them feeling? What do they bring up for you? That’s how you know who you should see less of.

Make a plan A, B, S and Z, make plans for the life you want to live from the best part of yourself. See the person you want to be and act like them.

4. Practice Self-Compassion: Be kind to yourself, especially during tough times. Treat yourself with the same compassion and understanding you would offer to a dear friend.

5. Celebrate Small Wins: Don’t wait for the big milestones to celebrate – celebrate the small victories along the way. Every step forward, no matter how small, is worth celebrating.

6. Optimize your physical health: there is no positive thinking when you are in body that isn’t taken care of, you will be working much harder. Take those vitamins, exercise, go outdoors, beautify your spaces and carry yourself with pride. You belong here.
