Hello 2024,
What a time we had with you, we are grateful for your presence, and the things you brought, as well as the things you took from us.
We grew up so quickly together, what a ride.
I thank you for the good memories, the lessons, the winnings and the learnings. I am not sure what is ahead but I am grateful to bring our relationship to an amicable end.
We started the year on this blog thinking about workplace mental health, Employees mental health, moved on to the science of smiling, and then went ahead to explore how men build a brotherhood and also medical checks for healthy men.
At some point in the year, you brought us knowledge of Nature’s Therapy, and the power of quality sleep for good mental health.
In this year as well, some very kind readers bought us coffee upon coffee. Thank you dear friends for doing it with us.
2024, you will forever be remembered as the year you taught how to balance work, parenting and our mental health, and also to learn how to unplug from our digital world and just rest.
A few more things you gave us were, the confidence to discuss sex with our children at home, build up strong female friendships, and how to strengthen our friendships during busy seasons.
Finally, Thank you for teaching us how to set mentally healthy intentions for 2025.
Some things that caught my attention this year:
1. Old friends are still in your heart
2. New friends see an evolved version of you, this includes life partners. Who you marry is a destiny defining decision.
3. The people who ride through it all, are a rare privilege
4. Our siblings are the friends God gave us and they are worth investing time, prayer and energy in.
5. Growth cannot be forced on anyone
6. A vibrant prayer life is an underrated hack for life
7. God gave gifts to men and they come to you through men. Learn how to build good relationships
8. If you are ever unsettled about a thing, anywhere, ask God for mercy.
9. We don’t all have to agree on everything, it doesn’t mean we are bad people of we don’t agree
10. Bad things happen to everyone, the children of God though, have faith, hope and LOVE to enter those seasons with.
We are a small team that runs this blog using funds from our day job. If you ever want to support us, please share the link, start a conversation in your spaces, and buy us coffee for the long nights of editing.
Thank you to all who already do, you are appreciated, tell your friends too.
Happy New Year 2025!!!
